Our role on this scheme was to project manage the design and refurbishment of the Guernsey Press Office and Press Hall.
Challenges included ensuring that the budget and design were controlled to meet the client's aspirations and delivering the refurbished building on time and within budget whilst the client continued its operation to produce the Island's daily newspaper.
The project involved the remodelling of warehouse space and the refurbishment of existing office areas into a modern, air-conditioned working environment for up to 100 members of staff.
The exterior of the building was transformed from a tired tin shed into a high-tech building by re-cladding the walls and the roof and the use of curtain walling and a feature brise soleil whilst the interior now boasts modern office space with an industrial feel as befits the nature of the client's business.
