Project: Refurbishment of a retail building
Size: Ground Floor: 23,440 sq ft, First Floor: 11,286 sq ft
Role: Project Manager, Employer’s Agent and Cost Consultant
Located close to the Norwich city centre, this second phase of the refurbishment of a former Big W store will provide a further 34,726 sq ft of retail space.
The client required a tight programme in order to facilitate early access for a particular tenant and this necessitated us negotiating the contract, which has been let on a design & build basis. The construction work involves stripping out previous fit out works and redundant services, installing new party walls, loading bay doors, shop fronts, canopies and new main services.
We have and are continuing to negotiate with new incoming tenants in order to agree technical documentation for inclusion within the Agreements for Lease.
The work is due to complete in December 2010.
